Dubai Design Week 2025 Draws Record 1,000 Global Brands

Dubai Design Week celebrates its 11th milestone edition this November with a showcase of creativity and state-of-the-art design. The region’s premier design festival will welcome visitors from November 4-9, 2025, building on its soaring wins over the last several years.

The event has evolved into one of the world’s most important design platforms since 2015. Dubai Design Week proudly emphasizes cross-cultural exchange and creative collaboration. This year’s program lines up perfectly with the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’ through exhibitions, installations, talks, and workshops. Dubai Design District (d3) will transform into an artistic hub with 30 large-scale outdoor installations and the Downtown Design Fair. Downtown Design, Editions Art & Design, and the UAE Designer Exhibition stand as the event’s cornerstone showcases that bring local and international creatives together to explore design’s role in building inclusive communities.

Dubai Design Week 2025 reaches new heights with a record-breaking number of participants. Over 1,000 renowned and upcoming designers and brands will display their creations at the event. This makes it the biggest gathering in the festival’s history.

Dubai Design District (d3), a member of TECOM Group PJSC, presents the event with Dubai Culture’s support. The festival will offer an exciting mix of commissions, exhibitions, installations, talks and live performances.

“Dubai Design Week brings such a wealth of creative talent and energy to Dubai Design District each November – from here in the UAE, the region and across the globe,” noted Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District.

The Middle East’s leading design fair, Downtown Design, will run from November 5-9. Prestigious international brands and emerging talent will showcase their work together. Visitors can experience ARMANI/CASA’s new collection by Finasi, Haworth’s Openest installation by Patricia Urquiola, and watch Arte Veneziana’s live glass engraving demonstration.

Swarovski will unveil its first Atelier Swarovski Home collection at the event. The collection features innovative design objects created by renowned designers like Fredrikson Stallard and Ron Arad. These exhibitions strengthen Dubai’s role as a global hub for creativity, design and innovation.

Dubai Design Week 2025 organizers have arranged the event to match UAE’s national initiative “Year of Community.” This demonstrates the event’s development from a commercial showcase to a platform that promotes social connections and state-of-the-art collaboration.

The program weaves several community-focused initiatives throughout its schedule. The d3 neighborhood will reshape the scene into a lively public space. Designers, artists, and visitors can participate in meaningful conversations about design’s influence on society’s experiences.

“Design has the power to build bridges between diverse communities,” explained Kate Barry, Program Director for Dubai Design Week. “By synchronizing with the Year of Community, we’re emphasizing design’s role in creating inclusive environments where people from all walks of life can connect.”

Satellite events spread beyond the main venues into Dubai’s neighborhoods. Students can join design-thinking workshops while public installations appear in residential areas. International designers work with local artisans on shared projects.

The organizers have launched a Community Design Award that recognizes projects which address social challenges through groundbreaking design solutions. This award encourages participants to think over how their creative work enhances community wellbeing and eco-friendly development in the UAE.

Dubai Design Week 2025 features groundbreaking exhibitions that spotlight the region’s creative talent. The Abwab pavilion program, which means ‘doors’ in Arabic, centers on this year’s theme ‘In the Details.’ The program invites practitioners from West, South and East Asia, and the African continent to explore ornamental details through architectural research, textiles, and narrative-driven esthetics. This cultural platform has attracted 180 designers from 14 countries throughout its history.

Urban Commissions presents an innovative installation “When Does a Threshold Become a Courtyard?” by UAE-based design studio Some Kind of Practice. Their winning proposal draws inspiration from the traditional Emirati housh (courtyard) and reimagines this architectural element for today’s public spaces.

The UAE Designer Exhibition won ‘Best Incubator’ at the 2025 Monocle Design Awards and serves as a vital platform for over 30 emerging Emirati and UAE-based designers. This marks the second year in a row that a Dubai Design Week program has earned this prestigious recognition.

Downtown Design, the region’s premier design fair, welcomes back industry leaders like Lasvit, Kartell, and Poltrona Frau, with Roche Bobois and Stellar Works joining the lineup. The Middle East’s first limited-edition art and design fair, Editions, will display works from more than 50 regional and international galleries.

Dubai Design Week 2025 marks a defining moment in the Middle East’s creative world. The festival’s international significance shines through with 1,000 global brands and local talent participating. This record turnout shows remarkable growth after a decade of development. The event’s arrangement with UAE’s Year of Community emphasizes how design exceeds pure esthetics to promote meaningful social connections in a variety of communities.

Visitors will discover the region’s creative spirit through exceptional exhibitions like Abwab, Urban Commissions, and the award-winning UAE Designer Exhibition. These platforms lift new voices while celebrating traditional elements with modern interpretations. The Downtown Design fair and Editions’ first appearance offer detailed showcases that range from commercial design to limited-edition art pieces.

Dubai Design Week has reshaped the scene since its 2015 launch. What started as a regional showcase has become a global platform for cultural exchange. The festival now serves as the life-blood that strengthens Dubai’s role as a creative hub between East and West. This milestone edition proves that design excellence runs on the blend of tradition and breakthroughs, community and commerce—a philosophy that powers Dubai’s creative future.
