Dubai Hosts Landmark ‘I Am Peacekeeper Movement’ Launch

Dubai witnessed the launch of a global initiative called ‘I Am Peacekeeper Movement’ at the time of rising geopolitical tensions worldwide. The event showed a rare unity to promote dialog and understanding. Dubai served as headquarters for this landmark gathering that brought together Nobel laureates, policymakers, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and changemakers from all regions.

The movement builds on Dubai’s milestone from April, when Expo City Dubai hosted 12 Nobel Laureates at a record-breaking Peace Summit. Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala of Wockhardt pharmaceuticals leads this initiative that revealed an ambitious roadmap with 12 key initiatives. The plans include connecting nearly 2 million online peace advocates and organizing a ‘Billionaires for Peace Conclave’ in February 2026[-2]. This launch demonstrates a steadfast dedication to collective peace-building while global cooperation faces unprecedented challenges.

Global Leaders Launch Peace Movement in Dubai

A historic gathering took place at Dubai Exhibition Center on September 4. Ten distinguished chief guests came together to launch the “I Am Peacekeeper Movement”. The remarkable assembly featured prominent figures like Dr. Asle Toje, Vice Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Professor Mohan Munasinghe, recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, Ouided Bouchamaoui, Nobel Peace Laureate in 2015, and Dr. Khalid Ghanem Al Ghaith, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity.

Dr. Khorakiwala spoke to the international gathering and emphasized that “Peace is not a distant dream but a shared responsibility that belongs to all of us”. He praised Dubai as “the perfect platform to launch this journey – a crossroads of cultures and ideas where dialog translates into action”.

The event got support from Professor Munasinghe who highlighted that “Peace-building is not just about ending conflicts, but about creating fair opportunities for all. Economic justice, environmental care, and social inclusion are pillars of lasting stability”. Dr. Al Ghaith expressed UAE’s commitment by stating the country is “proud to support initiatives that promote harmony”.

The gathering sets the stage for the upcoming “Billionaires For Peace Conclave” planned for February 2026 in Dubai.

Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala unveiled a complete roadmap with 12 key initiatives to promote “compassion, equity, and unity worldwide”. This ambitious plan will mobilize nearly 2 million global online peace supporters and create a groundbreaking digital movement for positive change.

The “Billionaires For Peace Conclave” stands as a cornerstone initiative, scheduled for February 2026 in Dubai. This event will bring Nobel Laureates and Forbes billionaires together in a historic dialog. The exclusive membership structure provides three tiers: Patron status for 210 distinguished billionaires who contribute AED 77,110.75 annually, Partner status for 210 global leaders with AED 44,063.29 contributions, and Corporate status that requires a one-time contribution of AED 77.11 per employee.

Dr. Khorakiwala, who leads Wockhardt healthcare conglomerate as Executive Director, emphasized that “The foundation of world peace is based on inner peace through the practice of seven human values of gratitude, forgiveness, love, humility, giving, patience and truth”.

The movement’s initiatives will expand global networks of directors and influencers through annual summits starting February 2026. Peace supporters will get complete advocacy resources, research publications, and chances to work with Nobel Peace Laureates. Dubai will emerge as a global hub for peace-building activities.

Nobel Laureates and UAE leadership strongly endorsed the vision of the “I Am Peacekeeper Movement,” which emphasizes education and youth involvement as vital components to achieve global peace. Dr. Khalid Ghanem Al Ghaith reaffirmed UAE’s support for initiatives that promote “understanding, tolerance, and fraternity across borders”. The country’s decision to host this movement demonstrates its steadfast dedication to dialog and harmony.

Professor Mohan Munasinghe, co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore, emphasized that “Economic justice, environmental care, and social inclusion are pillars of lasting stability”. He praised President Sheik Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s leadership, highlighting their “stable foundation for tolerance and coexistence not seen anywhere in the world”.

Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi remained optimistic despite worldwide challenges. He believed the movement “gives us a ray of hope” in a world where violence and disharmony persist even as knowledge and wealth grow. Speakers repeatedly highlighted seven core values that form the movement’s foundation: gratitude, forgiveness, love, humility, giving, patience, and truth.

The initiative concluded with a Peace Charter, dubbed “A Love Letter to Humanity”. This charter reinforces that “true peace can only thrive when guided by fairness, open dialog, and steadfast dedication to justice, love, and freedom”.

“I Am Peacekeeper Movement” shows what global collaboration can achieve in challenging times. Dubai now serves as a hub for peace-building through this groundbreaking initiative. Under Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala’s leadership, an impressive group of Nobel Laureates, policymakers, and social entrepreneurs now work together to promote dialog between borders and cultures.

These twelve initiatives create an ambitious path toward lasting peace. Nearly 2 million online peace advocates will join forces, showing how digital platforms now drive modern activism. The upcoming “Billionaires For Peace Conclave” in February 2026 offers a chance to bring wealthy influencers and peace advocates together.

Seven core values form the foundation of this movement: gratitude, forgiveness, love, humility, giving, patience, and truth. These principles show a comprehensive view of peace-building that goes beyond resolving conflicts. This initiative sees peace as an active, ongoing process that needs economic justice, environmental care, and social inclusion.

Nobel Laureates and UAE leaders strongly support this movement, which shows its credibility and potential. Professor Munasinghe points to UAE’s solid foundation of tolerance as the reason Dubai became the perfect starting point for this worldwide effort. UAE’s dedication to promoting cross-border understanding fits perfectly with the movement’s goals.

The Peace Charter, known as “A Love Letter to Humanity,” captures the spirit of this attempt. While geopolitical tensions still challenge international relations, movements like this show that people can work together. Peace-building needs long-term support from everyone – billionaire philanthropists to everyday digital advocates. This movement provides a practical framework to advance human dignity and mutual understanding in our connected world.
